Bloodhound Q50 Autopsy Shows Rapper Shot 5 Times in Fuller Park Ambush

A newly released autopsy report from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office reveals Chicago rapper Bloodhound Q50 was struck five times during an ambush at a Fuller Park gas station last month.

The 22-year-old rapper, whose real name was Mikquale T. Cooper, was shot in the head, neck, back, and left shoulder. No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide.

According to police and medical examiner records, Cooper drove a white Tesla into a BP gas station located at 4248 S. Wentworth Ave. around 4 a.m. on Sept. 13.

After Cooper parked, a black Infiniti with two masked occupants pulled up alongside his vehicle. As Cooper and his girlfriend exited the gas station store, a second vehicle containing additional masked occupants entered the lot.

When Cooper returned to his vehicle, six assailants exited the two cars and opened fire. Investigators recovered approximately 50 rifle and 9 mm shell casings from the scene.

Toxicology reports included in the autopsy showed cannabis, a benzodiazepine, and opioids present in Cooper’s system.

Cooper’s girlfriend told officers she ran from the Tesla and hid inside a stranger’s car during the gunfire, according to records included in the autopsy report.

She also informed investigating officers that individuals actively wanted Cooper dead.

About a month before the fatal attack, Cooper acknowledged the threats against him during an interview with rap vlogger DJ Akademiks, stating he was not chasing death but was not running from it either.

Guns and violent incidents had previously impacted Cooper’s inner circle.

His cousin, a rapper known as Bloodhound Zmoney, was fatally shot in March 2023, the same year Cooper himself survived a gunshot wound to the leg.

Two additional associates, rappers Bloodhound Lil Jeff and Lil Scoom89, were both killed in separate shootings during the summer of 2024.

Following Cooper’s funeral on Sept. 25 in Merrillville, Indiana, Chicago police officers received an internal department alert warning of a “heightened potential for retaliatory violence.”

Later that evening, around 7 p.m., two masked gunmen opened fire on a vehicle in the 7500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in Gresham.

The driver, Naseem D. Stevens, was shot multiple times during a vehicle chase and later died at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

Police reports noted Stevens’ vehicle bore a “funeral” sticker at the time of the shooting, though investigators stated it remains unconfirmed whether the incident was directly tied to Cooper’s slaying.

Area Central detectives continue to investigate both homicides. Anyone with information is urged to submit an anonymous tip online at CPDTIP.com.
