Editorial & Ethics Policy

At Chicago News Post, our readers’ trust is our primary asset. We maintain strict separation between news gathering, opinion content, and advertising operations.

  1. Accuracy & Verification
  • All news reports undergo fact-verification against official government records, primary document filings, or direct source statements before publication.
  • We do not publish unverified rumor or speculative commentary in news reports.
  1. Objectivity & Tone
  • Our news reporting remains objective, factual, and neutral.
  • We avoid dramatic storytelling, inflammatory language, or sensationalism.
  1. Corrections Policy
  • Accuracy is our top priority, but when an error occurs, we correct it promptly and transparently.
  • Corrections or clarifications are appended directly to the top or bottom of the original article, explicitly stating what was corrected and when the update was applied.
  • To report an error, please email: editor@chicagonewspost.com with “Correction Request” in the subject line.
  1. Sources & Attribution
  • We prioritize named, record sources whenever possible.
  • Anonymous sources are utilized only when revealing an identity poses personal or professional retaliation risk, and the underlying factual claim is independently verified by secondary evidence.
  • Content, quotes, or background information aggregated from secondary media outlets are attributed directly within the article body.
  1. Conflicts of Interest & Advertising Independence
  • Advertisers, corporate sponsors, and network ad partners have zero influence over editorial coverage, story selection, or article framing.
  • Sponsored content or paid partner pieces are explicitly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Advertisement.”
